The hull is the problem. Once you hit low 70s in the Outlaw, it kind of seems to hit a brick wall. Whoever puts 1100 hp in a 25' boat must have a death wish!
I was out with Alan4 last week. He got his motor finished. He was hitting right around 70 with 3 people in the boat. He still has some tweaking to do. 1998 24' Outlaw with approx 520 hp.
