1998 Baja 232 Islander toggle switches
 

I recently purchased a 1998 Baja islander. I cannot read the toggle switches next to the steering wheel. Do you know what sequence the toggle lights are in so I can try to make them work. The side lights in the back work and the engine lid works. I know which one they are... I think the horn is the first toggle switch starting from the front on the switches..but it does not work. Also can I replace the toggle switches..so I can read them...how hard is that and where would I buy new ones...Thanks

Wow, what a test of memory! I don't have a pic but maybe I can help. If I remember correctly the last switch is the captains choice, then the engine hatch, then the radio, then a few for lights (cabin, engine hatch, and navigation) then the blower I believe and then the horn. Not 100%, but hope that helps a little.

Thanks so much. The radio does not work, I did not know it had a toggle switch. I will work on that before I pull the radio out and check all the wires. I had it for (4) weeks and still trying to get it figured out before I hit the water like an idiot.

yes the radio has a toggle switch every time you turn it off you loose the memory / preset radio stations clock etc

Ed something is wrong with your radio. I can shut my batteries off and still keep my presets. I know lots of other guys that have the same switch and can keep the presets. Do you have to reset your clock too?

yes whenever i shut off the toggle switch to my radio i loose all of my presets including the clock it was like this with the radio that was in the boat when i bought it then i replaced the radio and used all of the old wiring at the radio ( i had to change plugs ) and it is still the same way it looks like from what i can see that the memory wire runs all the way to the toggle switch i havent pulled the switch panel yet to check i was just going to run a wire with a plug to the second battery direct then if i wanted to i could just unplug the memory wire if i wasnt going to use the boat for a while

On my Sony i had in, i would loose all presets and clock also. But, with the Clarion CMD5, all is not lost when i turn the switch off.

I had an Alpine that did it also.

the 12 volt power wire isn't hooked to the radio for the memory...There's a wire on the radio that recalls memory that is constant power all the time. My radio never looses memory either unless I take the batteries completely out.

my radio button turns it on and off but it WILL keep the presets, but when i kill the batters with the batt switch, it looses them
