XT Dave , the side compartments didnt have drain holes
in them , do you suggest drilling one in each back
corner to let the water drain out.

I have 500 hp in mine and it runs 76 on gps
with 4 blade 26 prop. Its a little faster with
the 3 blade 25 but you dont have the hole
shot to mid range power.

Rick,

I guess that's up to you? Just make sure you seal the hole if you drill through balsa, or wood.

Somehow I can't imagine your boat ever sitting in the rain, without the cockpit cover in place???

Dave I didnt think any wood would be around it, its the
well where you put the speakers .I keep the ropes on one
side and the anchor on the other. When you wash the inside
it holds water. My 33 has one drain hole on each side of the
back end.
