Talk about a headache! Or heartbreak!
Dont remember the radar arch option. Must have been a Friday boat.

I looked at that 29footer myself, It 'LOOKS' like everything is there [minus the engine and drives] including a pretty nice trailer. I seen a fellow on OSO selling a pair of 454MPI's for $5500 complete, I figure another 5-6K for a pair of "regular" Bravo Drives [not sweptback, or high dollar internals] and it wouldn't be a bad deal? I agree, the "boat" itself is overpriced, but, if you could pick it up for 10-11K add another $5500 for engine and 5K or so for drives, you would only have a little over 20K in the boat, probably wouldn't buy it "complete" for that.
Of course, that all depends on how much of a headache it was to put back together, you could chase wiring gremlins for months, and its also been my experience that its not always the "big ticket" stuff that cost you the money, but, the little "nickel and dime" stuff that adds up and up, and up and ends up costing you a fortune
Wouldn't be a 100MPH boat or anything, but, if someone had the space and time to putter with it and/or some spare motors/drives kicking around it might not be a bad boat. I think it would have been a pretty cool "Winter Project", but, I dont have a garage thats 40ft deep!

That is one ugly '33 OL... The arch doesn't even look right on it. I can't believe he wants more than $17K for the boat...

I little jb weld on the drives and a little epoxy on the hull you could have a super fast 84 mph boat with those special 7.4L 502s running at 5300 rpm.
I wonder if the owner saw it happen or came out to go boating and saw it missing off the lift. That would be a bummer.
