Irish, we stayed at the Cedar Point Marina one weekend last year and loved it. It was great being able to take our time and actually enjoy the park. Had breakfast and dinner at one of the hotels on the North end of the Point. I think they have a pool there as well, though it was too cold when we went.

Here is a link to the launch ramp in Sandusky. Its also a good spot. The parking lot is lit and patroled by the city police.

Ok Memorial day weekend is when we're heading up if someone could tell us the best place to meet and put the boat in, I think we'll bring the cruiser for this one. Lets start a list of those interested.

LOL - its ready
I've help launch from the Sandusky launch ramp more than any other place. I like it. Its not real steep and there are plenty of docks for launching. We've never had to wait real long. I'm also comfortable leaving my car there and anybody who knows me will tell you, thats saying a lot

I dry racked my 29ol at Anchors Away on west harbor for eight years. The no wake is 10-15 min. but is great for warming the engine before blasting across the lake. It will also get you many thumbs-up, and time to finish that first drink...

I like Catawba State Park, but it is extremely tight. Marblehead has a very nice launch as well, plus gives you a bit of a ride over. I can make it from Catawba to PIB in 10-15 min. Hopefully we all can all leave the same launch and ride over.
