What up bro? Hey, I'm still interested in meeting some of the fellas for the big RAT RUN. Are you still planning on Friday, May 3rd? If so, what time and where should I meet up with you? There are NO women permitted on this run right? Thanks for your help. ;)

The Rat Run is still on for May 3. Caincando 1 will be rope boy in the Pantera.

There are a number of places to meet:

1. At Great River Harbor just south of Alma WI. That's where we'll be putting in. Around 7:30 AM! :eek:

2. At Pioneer Supper Club. Free breakfast and pick up a Rat Run T-Shirt. 7:30 - 9:00 AM.

3. Long Point on Lake Pepin. This is the main spot where everyone meets. 60+ boats 2 yrs. ago. 10:00 - noon.

We can meet up at one of these places or anywhere in between.

If you can't make it to Pioneer and want a shirt, let us know. We'll pick one up for ya! :D :D

there is only one lock that we will be going through. Lets hope the water goes down. After looking at the weather, we had better pack some warm cloths.:D

I'm looking forward to meeting some of the OSO fellas. One additional question: Is the Pioneer Restaurant north or south of the lock in Alma? If it's north of the lock, I might launch the boat on that side of the lock. Otherwise, I'll just launch with you guys. BTW, the river doesn't look high in Prescott. Is it high down by you?

That's great that your gonna make it. You are correct, no woman on the run but afterward at the harbor its all good.;) The Pioneer is above the lock in Alma. The only place to launch on the MN side would be all the way up in Wabasha. Or else on the WI side there is a marina on the north side of ALma. But its only a couple of more miles to drive(about 5) and you will be at out harbor. Its just a couple minuete boat ride from our harbor to the lock, then the pioneer is just a few second boat ride from the lock. So its really no big deal to lock through unless we get cought by a barge. We monitor the marine radio pretty good so that doesn't happen. I'd give you a hard time but we're rarely ever on the water before noon ourselves:D :D Its great that your coming. Best place to find us will be on the north side of Long Point(Lake City). We'll be the ones with the boats smaller that your.:D :D :D.

If either of you two have an extra seat, I may have to bum a ride in a big boat. I can play double duty as ropemonkey for more than one boat.:p

Holy Chit! This run is going to be a blast! :D

I won't be going by anyone (this year anyway!:D ) unless we got some 6+ footers!:D :D

Brad put a Pro Charger in the Fountain. Wabasha Marina did the install....it should have been done early last week. The showstopper was going to be the outdrive. Teague was upgading that as that 500 EFI is going to be near 700 HP. It was going to be close if that gets back in time.

I'm heading down to the Harbor on Thursday. I won't get in the water this weekend, so I want to give the boat one more shakedown run before Friday. :D

I know what you mean Thirsty. I haven't had the boat out yet for a run. I'm hoping to take her out this Sunday or early next week. I want to burn some of that crappy gas and change my plugs before next Friday.

Plans have changed alittle. Pioneer is still closed:( We will still leave the harbor around the same time but everyone is going to Slipperys for breakfest. Other then that everything else is the same. Advantage are you coming to the harbor Friday morning?

That won't be to bad. Just a little longer drive to breakfast. That may be good. With around 10 of us from our harbor we will need the extra dock space. :D :D :D

I think so. If I am not mistaken breakfast is from 8 to 9 so we should be ok.

I am bringing a buddy of mine and myself! We are hoping to be at the marina at 7:30am. I don't know exactly where I am going. I live in Cottage Grove and thought I would go to Prescott, WI and travel south on 35 to Alma, WI. After that I'm not sure WTF I am doing. Do you have any insight?

Go thru Alma. Great River Harbor is about 2 miles out of town. The entrance is on the right side of the road, plus you guys will see the campers. We're close to the ramp, so we'll see you come in.

No, I didn't get her wet! It was too darn cold on Sunday. Friday will be the first run of the season. I HOPE everything will be okay. Thanks for the directions.

A buddy with a brand spankin' new 25 Outlaw and I put in a couple weeks ago. I had a circulating pump bearing go south on me, and plugged up the speedo pick-up with wood (lots of trees floating down:eek: ).

I think we're the only two from the group leaving the Harbor that have had the boats in. There's a few of us going down Thursday hoping to get a little more seat time in.:D

Yep....he's got the HO. They'll be a couple 25's with the HO's with us, alot of 454 Mags, a 502, a 5.7, and a couple of 6.2's. The newly blown 500 EFI will be a no show I think.

What time you thinking about on Thursday? I'm gonna try and skip out of work at lunch tomarrow if its slow. I was going to try and get a head start on getting the trailer set in. But if your gonna get a little watter time, I may have to come with. I'm sure you need a extra set of ears to hear if anythings wrong.;) ;)

Hi Guys, It's refreshing to see more of us cold weather rats on this board.I got tired of everyone else's boating adventures.I live in Mtka but do all my boating on the river and would love to hook up with oso members.My boat is currently getting a little makeover(blower), but would like to keep in touch and do some boating.Have a blast and give a report on river conditions. thanks Mark.

If you look under OSO gatherings, there is a thread called upper Mississippi get together. They are planning on lake city in the middle of July.:)

Everyone has backed out due to work excuses. My old man might join me so I have some help to get through the lock. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate. :cool: :D :)

I have the same problem this year. I have one guy for sure, and one that wants to go, but I have to wait for two others to make up their minds, :( Ya know what that means, the guy that gave me a for sure is the only one riding so far:D I have not even called anyone to see what they have decided, I am not going to beg people to go out and have a good time. weekend priority and I are convoying down around 3:30 ish, Cant wait :D :D :cool:

Hey you know me I don't mind slutting around from one boat to the next. I'm not worried about docking once one parks they just help the others. Its definatly nice to have two for locking trough. We'll make it work.

I'm ditching work as I type. I'm just gonna hit the liqy store then I'm river bound. See you in a few.
