Sometimes not using a boat for a long time the
connection on switchs and circuit breakers get a little corrosion on them from sitting a long time and when u put power to them for the first time it may cause that problem. When mine are not used for more then 30 days or so the trim switch doesnt work rite until I spray it then theres no problem. |

We were out running today for the first time this season and both engines die at the exact same time. We have drive and tab power and cabin dc power, but no power anywhere else. I did have to replace the starter fuse on the satrboard engine this winter. If it blew is there anyway it could make the one on the port engine blow also? There is no power on the dash, or any of the switches on the dash. Could the starboard engine control power to both engines?
Can you give me a idea of how the battery switches are wired? Does one switch supply both engines ignition? Do you happen to have any schmatics of the wiring? Sorry I am not much of a source for wiring issues. I would not want to steer you wrong? Sea Ray needs to release the electrical drawings to us, for this type of questions! XT |
Jeff did you ever resolve this issue?

I wish I would have reread this thread the other week since I couldn't get any power from my batteries. We tested the relay switch and wasn't getting anything from it so we took it out and when we did we saw the plastic arm in the down position and after putting it back and wiring it back up we had power. There was no way I could see that arm sticking down since the relay switch is under the seat and you have to stand on your head to see things.

I think so, I replaced the battery switch and everything seems to be working now.
