Really? so, I assume a boat from 01-02 would have pretty stout internals? Any idea why the would go away from the forged internals? Thanks for the info, I had NO idea they stopped using forged stuff after 02!

Not sure why they would be running 1:35 ratio drives....

I'd have to do the math but a 1:50 running 88 mph wouldnt be swinging more than a 28 would it? Can't see the advantage of going to a 24 pitch or something like that. If they are swinging bigger than that it seems they are pushing the motors way too hard.
Could be a 30 or 32. Seems like a lot on those motors. What does a 30 weigh? I know my 25 is no lite weight. It's a heavy boat so I could be off. Maybe they had those drives on hand. |

They're using GM Truck engines and pretty sure GM isn't putting forged internals in they're engines so Mercury wouldn've had too. Like was said...$$$$$ basically they could just marinize the truck engines and drop them in.
Its a sharp looking boat, you see a lot of "outlaws" with Whipples, but, not as many Boss 302's, As I said before if I was looking to step up I would look at Jason or Irish's boats first, they are both KILLER! Michael |
