Default Rev 4 Prop on a 26 OL?

Just curious if anyone has tried the Rev 4 23 pitch propeller on a 26 Outlaw (1.50 lower unit). If so how did you like it and what rpm's were you getting?

Couldn't turn it more than 4800, but performed well on our boat. It may not be the best with your shortie though.

Thanks for the info guys! emilsr you are probably right about the shorty. My boat will not pull the 26 B1 with the gear change (4600 @ 62 mph) so I need something to get me through the summer. I tried a 23 Mirage + and am on the rev limiter. That and I didnt really like the three blade.

You will be able to turn the rev 4 a little faster than the bravo. I run a 25 rev 4 on my 240 and like it alot.

I bet it will. I have a Merc labbed 26p B1 and can turn it 4700. It's a couple of mph off on top end, but not a half bad performer otherwise. Takes a lot of trim to lift the bow so you get a little roost, even with the deep drive. I end up with almost full trim running that one.

What you need to do is put your boat together then call Brett Anderson (Bblades). Get up off your checkbook and do it right; the right prop can make a HUGE difference.

LOL! Already called BBlades...Brett is the one recommending the Rev 4. It will arrive wed. I was just wondering about the experiences of others and what they thought about the Rev 4. I agree props can make or break
how your boat runs. It really amazes me how different they can be.

If Brett said to run the Rev4 then that is what I'd be running. He'll get you right. It might take a few throws but it will be right in the end.

Russel do you have a imco shortie 1'' or 2''?? or stock drive height. the rev should work either way cause your drive will still be about 5 1/2'' below the keel with a 2'' shortie. you guys running 4600 or 4700 should give it to brett should get you up to your max rpms and more speed even if its 2mph for what 350 for labbing its worth it other wish you are straining your motor at 4600.
