Default Guys An Unbiased Opinion Would Be Great

I have a 2005 Baja 245 Boss with a PROCHARGED 514 EFI. Motor has 5 hours since refresh. All of the internals are the same as a 500 hp. Drive is a XR upper and a sportsmaster lower and a labbed 28 pitch prop. The Drive has less than 30 hours on it. The boat is mint and has spent its life in fresh water in georgia except one day in ft myers beach, where i quickly found out it was to small for open water. Killer sterio system also included.

I have alot of money in this boat as im sure alot of you do.

i need an unbiased opinion on what you think i could sell this boat for.

Looking to go to a 38 Fountain....any thoughts on this would be great too.

The only thing that might hurt you is the Procharger. I tried to sell my boat when it had a Procharger and no luck. They intimidate some people. Most don't know how to even work on EFI engines much less once you add the Procharger. I think people believe that Prochargers will cause more engine troubles. Just my opinion on some feedback when I tried to sell mine. Good luck. I am currently have my Baja listed as well. Only this time with a Carbed HP500.

I would pull the Procharger off the boat and sell it that way. Very few people want a blower engine in a Baja. The market is good for your boat right now all stock.

Especially in a 245. I would think a person looking for a 245 is either starting out or coming from a 18-19'er.

A 36 like Doc's w/ blowers would interest a different level of buyer.

You think? it had a 6.2 originaly that was gutless. With the 6.2 i was getting about 55 mph and cruising around 30. With 514 im at 88 mph gps. Do you think that its to much?

what do you think the boat could sale for? im going to try to post a few pics.

Pull the charger. By having that setup you are excluding more than 80 or 90% of the buyers out there. A 245 is an entry level perf boat and 55 is enough for that buyer. They want to hear some thru hull rumble, raft up and party and own a very affordable boat.

Do you still have the 6.2 and stock drive ?

If so, put that back in it and sell the other engine/drive
outright.

A friend of mine just ended up getting rid of a 36 O/L
w/502mpi's and prochargers for $ 37k

It wasn't the 90's color scheme ( teal, pink and purple)
that was the issue, everyone wondered about the engines
with the chargers on them.
