Nope not those... There are hole with what look to be screws in them in between the ridges of the fiberglass frame. I should've taken a pic of them when I dropped it off at the repair guys shop this morning.

Maybe they were for the rubber clips we sometimes installed for tent poles, and stern light??

Naw, there must be something mounted on top of the lid but under the foam. I know the ones he's talking about. I also wondered WTF those are for. They are spread out around the middle of the lid. Look like lag bolt heads with washers under them.

Dave, I should have taken my bench off Sunday and sent it your way, now I need to wait until 8/2 or 3 to get it in transit. Thanks for your patients. Sorry for the hijack.

On my Fountain, the top pad is bolted to the hatch itself from underneath in several places. There are plugs that cover the screws that snap over the screw access holes. Kinda like the white vented caps in teh above picture.

Hookem, you are right on the money. My fiberglass guy hadn't taken the pad apart as of yesterday but he's on it today. He believes that they are there to hold onto whatever the padding is attached to.

OK, you mean the half moon arc shape that holds a strip of wood, or prolite. That is there to staple too, for the strechers that create the headrest look.

Pic's compliments of Ebay Ed's 272 Boss!
