OEM parts are limited due to many companies that are no longer in business, and switch covers are hard to get the complete set of a matching style. A Owners Manual is available through Sea Ray, but it is very generic and has only general information. Model specific manuals started in 05' as mentioned.

454 carb engine serial number is 0k004002... XT will a serial mnumber on my boat help identify the boat, with the options it came with and what the switches are for etc?

I thought I read where someone listed the switches for you in another thread. I will do it again if need be, just ask.
The aft few switches are all for optional equipment. Depth gage, docking lights, Captains call. It's possible you have a few/several that do nothing if your boat isn't equiped with some/any of these options.

The serial number information from 96' to 08' are in Sea Ray's computers only, and I have asked for permission to access them as a "view only" status, but have had no luck. Having worked in Customer Service at Baja Marine in 07' & 08' I can tell you that they can see all the sale information to the original dealer (price, dates, manufacturer installed options). It was up to the dealer, and customer to submit the warranty card information to Baja Marine that started the terms of the original warranty (1 year parts ect./5 year hull). If you sold the boat in less than 5 years, the new owner could contact Baja and have the remaining hull warranty transferred to their name for $50.00.

Long story short.....the serial number will not help identify each switch cover as fast as a battery, and flicking switches. Who knows what options could have been added over the last 13 years.

Delly i checked your number on a place that i have bought some partd from and it says it is the mag so i think that would be the 385 hp
