I have no chance in this deal, I just do it for the fun factor
( and so I dont have to deal with the non anchorers and
the boats getting pinched in the tie up)

And maybe just to show the folks that some of the
Baja's out there dont run half bad.

I would guess that 90% of the spectator fleet hasnt
a clue on who's running against what, or how you finish,
they just want to see the boats run, and possibly see something run that they can relate to.

People do seem to wave at you more once you have your classification sticker on the boat though
dont the have 1,2,3 place I would agree fun factor Maybe they need to add non step to this category compare apples to apples

Class winner gets a plaque, and you get your picture in
next years program, thats it.

You wouldnt believe how many classes that there is only
one boat running, ( back in the shooters 21 days, I have multiple plaques to prove it)so unless there's a big demand for a seperate class, I doubt the'll do anything about it.

This year you could have brought a bone stock 33 O/L with
7.4's in it made one pass and drove home with a plaque....no one ran in that class as I recall.

We go to Grand, knock out a drive, you come here
and knock out 2,...... come with the story.

Bills boat threw a prop blade coming home on on Sunday,
since my boat was done for the day, we put on my 5
blades on it to just to get it home.....talk about killer cruise speed, even with 10 people on the boat we were running almost 60 @ 3500 rpm, my boat runs 55 @ 3500 rpm.

Too bad it didn't have the power to pull them.
