We put a Merc Racing 525 SC in Banker Ron-Outlaw Cowgirls 24 Outlaw a few years ago.
Made a dremel cut in the rear seat seat-back just large / deep enough to clear the top blower pulley, but did not cut all the way through the seat back. It's close, but it works. |

Yes
small notch in seat so it has to be recovered. I sent a picture but it's not that great. Vic

It sat under the hatch
It made for a very fast boat, great way to add 100hp.

A buddy of mine had to do the seat notch on his 89 Force 235 to fit a B&M 250. His was not noticeable once the lower seat bottom cushion was in place - he only needed to notch the wooden part just below the upholstered seat back. Outlaws might be a little different design in the interior. He did have to fashion a metal cover over the blower pulley for safety - didn't want to see any bikini bottoms getting caught in the blower pulley! :D

I have a 525SC in my 24 outlaw, Back seat was moved forward a few inches, and as mentioned back seat was notched for the blower snout. engine cover clears with plenty of room. I'll be reinstalling my motor this afternoon, and ill get some pics of how it sits in there
