Blower on an outlaw
How much cutting is needed to fit a blower on a early 90's 24 outlaw? I know it looks as if the blower snout will hit the rear seat. Anyone have any pics of what is needed or how it fits and looks?
Thanks Ehren |
i will try to post a picture of my set up
I had the seat notched in the middle and the nose of the blower sat in there. I bought the boat that way and it worked just fine.

I have a 272 and I added a 1071 blower and intercooler to mine. Cutting the rear seat was my first thought but instead I moved the back seat forward 3" insted of cutting into into it. I had to buid a new hatch anyways to make room for the blower by adding a scoop so I made the hatch a little larger. When the install was complete you cant tell that the rear seat had been moved at all.. Just my imput but one of the two ways will need to be done for it to happen.

The problem with mine was
When we pulled the motor to work on it the seat had to come out, not a big deal but extra work. Mine is now in the Netherlands just shipped it overseas. I might regret selling it when the spring comes.

We put a Merc Racing 525 SC in Banker Ron-Outlaw Cowgirls 24 Outlaw a few years ago.
Made a dremel cut in the rear seat seat-back just large / deep enough to clear the top blower pulley, but did not cut all the way through the seat back. It's close, but it works. |
thanks guys if anyone has pics my email is [email protected]
