Do you guys think I can get 55K for a 2002 33 Outlaw? The boat is from the original owner and only has 245 hours. It has a set of 496 mags boat comes with an aluminum trailer.

The boat is red yellow and purple and is in very good shape…

I will post pictures in the classifield section soon.

I think the mags hurt it a bit. Would be a lot better with HOs.

The price is reasonable but depends on condition of course.

dogghouse 11-28-2010 07:22 PM

Salt or fresh water? If it's fresh, that would be an easy sell in the midwest @ 55.

I can't find a fresh water low hour '02 33 listed anywhere near that price. Regardless of power.

I just bought in August. Looked high and low at 33s, 342s and 36s for months. Couldn't find a nice 33 in the 60s let alone 50s.

I would probably price an '02 29 OL right at $55K. I think the 33s command a premium over the 29s. Just my opinion.

The boat was in salt for a part of its life. The exhaust manifold have been changed out and it has not seen on bit of salt since.

I think its priced very low.... I sold my 01 36 last year for around 70k and I tought that was low....

BOSS302 12-03-2010 03:06 PM

Steve,

You cant sell your 36 (at least not until I can afford to buy it), I will trade you straight accross for my 342, and I will even let you deliver your 36 to my side of the state. LOL

Pete

30ish sounds more like the price of a 2002 25 Outlaw.

10ish is acv on an '02 25 OL. In spring, with a trailer on a sunny day

$10,000?

Show me a 25 Outlaw for $10,000 and I'll buy it in the dark at 3 am in a snowstorm.

DollaBill 12-03-2010 08:01 PM

I clearly said ACV. And if thats a bet, I'll take it. I'll let you know when to pick it up.

If you can find a 02 33OL with HO's SST in MINT condition on a trailer for 30ish let me know I'm on my way with my checkbook to buy it.

DollaBill 12-03-2010 08:22 PM

ACTUAL CASH VALUE. TRADE IN VALUE. WHAT YOU REALLY GET FOR YOUR BOAT WHEN YOU TRADE IT.

Example

2008 S550 MB w/ 10,000 miles. MSRP $107,000. ACV 45... on agood day.

Retail of a boat in 2007 is

$100K new (MSRP). Sells for 89,000 (boat show special). 12 months later it's worth 69,900 retail. ACV is 40-45K. (use the math on a 5ok boat)

You are talking a nearly 11 year old boat. What was MSRP of the boat in question? Give me the exact number. The sticker on your boat.

Irishtornado 12-03-2010 09:19 PM

Sticker on mine was 134k in 2003

PM me when you have an 2002 25 Outlaw on a trailer lined up for $10k. I will openly admit I was wrong if you can make this happen. Have cash. Thanks in advance.

I'll give him $12,000.:party-smiley-004:

hawaiianhopper 12-04-2010 04:03 PM

I would think that ACV would be a little higher than $10K. Low book for a '02 25 is almost $20K (not incl trailer). What's sad is that trade-in for the '05 that I am selling is only $23K. High retail is $30K and I have a contract on it for $37K. Hell, I paid $10K higher than low book at the auction.

With that being said, the market is crazy. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In the past, some of the bajas I've sold have been under, and some way over book.

One of the problems is that people think that they should only pay wholesale for anything these days. Another issue is with some of the auctions, people paying way too much. Here in Texas, wakeboard boats are selling for above average retail prices at the auction.

There was an '02 or '03 33 Outlaw that ran on Friday. I didn't get to watch it so I don't know what it sold for. I'll call on Monday and see what I can find out. That will give us an idea of what ACV is.

Dont get too excited. If you check the General Discussion area you'll see he's busy trying to save Statement Marine and the universe. :lolhit:

The reality is I can help Statement. They are great guys and build one of the best boats. They just need the right team.

Stay tuned

Bill's numbers are right on. If you are in doubt call Shogren and ask what number should be on it to sell quickly (30-60 days). Baja is entry level performance boating, no one will pay a premium for the boat. The 02 in question is 9 model years old, hard to finance and buyer will probably need to pay cash. 33 Outlaws aren't exactly rare either.

$10k on a 25 Outlaw isnt even realistic. Sometimes you can find a beat down 24 Outlaw for $10k or less.

DollaBill 12-05-2010 03:06 PM

Ok, lets try this from a diff angle. What is the average ask price for those boats right now? Just find 3 or 4 and average them.

Jup.. what do I know? LOL. Jeez.

wjb21ndtown 12-05-2010 04:01 PM

If I could find a 98 or newer 33OL for around $30K I would be driving one.

dogghouse 12-05-2010 04:33 PM

I like to play around selling boats... I have found thats it all about what buyer will pay... it's hard to go off the book on a boat right now.

As far as the 33 I'm talking about I'll let it go for a real good deal.
