Where do you keep your boat? I leave my bimini out and mounted all the time, and only unfold it when I need it. It really doesn't hurt anything or slow me down, but I'm always under 70mph. I would feel safe with my bimini up the way it is until about 80-85 or so.

I've only needed it three times (twice for rain, and one day I was just too damn hot... it was well over 90), but it was nice to have.

You can leave it off and store it off of the boat somewhere (garage?), but it's nice to have it on unexpected "scattered showers."

Whats the point of having a bimini that is stored in the garage?

Post some pics up when you get your boat umbrella for future reference. Im sure this topic will come up again.

Maybe XT will chime in with some pics of his bimini. We didnt use it all the time (obviously not poker runs and things) but it sure was nice to have a place to escape on those blazing days at the beach. Easy to put up and down too!

A 25 Outlaw looks closer to a 36 than a 29ol. My wife hates the look of the boat with the bimini top on it, but I think she would go home if I used an umbrella....

I've had an anchor shade for 3 seasons now & I've used it once. IT is a pain in the ass to put up, tie down, walk around & store.
Bimini tops are for queers. God made sunscreen for a reason.
Peace out girlscout.

I think the Anchor Shade design is much better that that one. The 4 tie downs really help hold it well.
XT

Yes the hold downs work well and do not get in the way as you can see, the pole is also handy. I prefer the Anchor Shade as well :D
