I think I know the original owner of your Sonic. Used to go by Dano here on OSO (still may). He was a Sonic dealer in Cincinnati. He also arranged the Ohio River poker run for years. Nice guy. He sold me a 29' Fountain back in 2000 that he took on trade. Haven't talked to him in quite a few years.

I thought the "2nd" sonic was a real nice boat, I just dont like the Sonic interior [mainly the seats] as much as the Baja's, say what you will, but, I think the "elipitcal" grab rails on the back of Baja Bolsers are some of the nicest seats out there. I wish my old resin bucket had them!

Lets give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he has a *****y wife that says he needs to sell the boat. So, to shut her nagging ass up, he puts up an ad on EBAY.

Never considered that. Very good point. Did that with a Fountain I had a while back. 1998 29' Fever 500 HP. Bought it in 2000 for $63K. Told my ex wife it was an investment and got it just to resell. She rode my ass hard for 18 months to sell it. Hated to see it go, but sold it in 2002 for $72K. Those prices make me laugh in today's market.

Might be easier to "outsource" the wife and enjoy the boat, but, I guess divorce is MUCH more expensive than a boat, LOL!
He could also be one of the fellas you meet [I know a few] who dont understand the concept of "depreciation", I have a buddy who basically assumes he can sell ANYTHING he owns for at least what he paid for it [20 years ago]
Funny thing, these people generally are the ones who have NO problem maybe lowball offers when they decide to BUY something! LOL
