Hey I may be able to shed some light on this boat. I was the first owner of it. I believe it has only had one owner since me. I do believe she lived on the water here at Lake Travis. I can’t remember for sure but I think I traded it 5 years ago. When I traded it, this is what I can tell you from what I remember about the boat.
The props had been trimmed down by 1/8 or ¼ inch and re-cupped some by Nettles. The engines would spool up fast and it had a very nice hole shot. I didn’t say big block performance but I never had an issue even with 10 people on the boat getting on plane once. It would launch and land and very level when wake jumping with the small blocks. Never been stuffed. I don’t recall exact GPS speed but I think top was 66 in perfect conditions once. That was right after prop work. I don’t recall ever really giving it much attention after that. We didn’t buy the boat for the speed. Yes always wished it had big blocks but the custom paint was already on it so we didn’t have an option. I never felt under powered. During the poker runs we could hang with them all unless they were running WOT or close to it. The boat is very stable at any speed. I don’t think you could blow the props out if you tried. I always felt very safe for me to let my son or anyone drive without concern. Very fuel efficient. It handled very well around the docs. If you can drive twin sticks you can put it anywhere you want it. There are two 10 inch subs up in the top of the port storage in the cockpit. They are way up in there you have to get a flash light to see the up there and it seems like I had two amps. Boat was serviced yearly and very well taken care of when I had it. Washed every time before heading to the lake and waxed yearly. It was almost perfect when I traded it about 5 years ago. It has been to the coast in Houston and to LOTO several times. Custom painted by local painter David Morgan. I don’t recall any service work being done on it other than both IAC sensors had been replaced. I think that about it. I hope this helps if you are still interested. Talk to Jason at South Austin he used to sell Baja and knows this boat and me. |

We were sad to see it in this shape when we noticed it on the lot. Texas sun is hard on boats for sure. 29 is a great size for Travis even if its not this boat.
Guys at South Austin have really been good to us as well as the Ski Dock where we bought the boat. Good luck. |
Nice boat, but 9 years old, small blocks, needs interior work, bennet tabs, cannot see if has a tie bar.
$31,500 tops. Before you buy any performance boat, have a survey done. Then you should have a good idea about possible after purchase cost, or if you should pass and look elsewhere. Right now used market is/should be a buyers market. Good luck, take your time and get a boat you will enjoy. |

Thanks for the post. allways good to know previous owners of boats when looking at them. The salesman said a lady owned it on the lake. I can tell it was on a lift but she (or her kids) must not have taken as good of care of it as you, the sunpad needs to be replaced as the fabric is brittle from the sun and the seats are marked up. A boat that will handle the waves of lake travis/austin is about what im looking for. I dont need to run 85mph..yet. I have been around and driven boats all of my life, but I think this would be a good starter boat for me into ownership. time will tell....thanks again for the help, anymore info is appreciated!

This thread about makes me sick on what mine might be worth in this market. I'm running a 99' 29OL single MPI Mag with 380 hours on it. Great boat and guess my only hope would be if gas went to 5 bucks a gallon. We looked at a 31 Formula bowrider last year and the trade in offer was 18 grand. Decided at that point that if I want a big bowrider i'll just take a chain saw to the top deck and call it redneck custom.

Not to make you sad, but I sold mine in late 07' for $65k, but I had to take some photos down in my garage because they made me sad. :picard1: |
