Thank you for posting this. I hope he is ok also. I have known people who do become addicted to the internet and it is not, after all, the same as real interaction with others and came be harmful.

So whats the deal asmith did you pay for parts and not get them.

How long has it been since Dock received your payment?? Do you have proof that he has received payment?? Just checking for solid facts first.

Have you tried calling him? When I purchased from Doc, communication was NEVER a problem?

I am sure if you don't have his number, some one can PM it to you.

Many on here know Dock. I have met him and he is a stand-up guy.
He sold a ton of parts on here and never seemed to have an issue.
How did you pay without getting any contact information, what parts, how long has the purchase been pending?

Yep, Dock is a great stand-up guy. I've met him in person a couple of times and on the various sites as well. I don't think I've bought anything from him but he has sent me numerous t-shirts and even $100 gift card for an on-line pic contest he started on here when things were slow. I don't think you'll have any problems getting things worked out with Dock.

Dock is a great guy and welcome at my website anytime.

If asmith is the problem for not returning to the thread...then wouldn't Doc be a problem for not responding. asmith is not a regular on the site....as is Doc now apparently. I've had one deal with asmith and know several guys that boat with him regualrly, I've seen/heard nothing to suggest he's not a stand-up guy. I've also heard the same thing about Doc and read with interest the build of his Baja and other exploits while he was a regular. The only thing that has changed that I know of is that Doc has apparently found religion and virtually abandoned web forums. asmith, to my knowledge, is the same guy I met 5-6 years ago. For all we know the 2 of them have worked it out already.....or maybe Doc's disappearance is because he became a monk.

asmith is not a big poster on here. I am sure he has checked this thread. asmith is a stand up guy.

What ever happened with that 36' of his? It sure wasn't on the kaskaskia river for long.

Guys Allan is super nice and he is the fellow that purchased my Whipple Superchargers. I drove them to Virginia where he took possession and paid me for them.

Dont know what happened to it, seen Dock selling the drives and blowers off the boat. Maybe going back with stock power or bigger hardware.

I thought I read the people that bought the boat changed there minds so Doc took the boat back (which is why it was seen for awhile out west). Doc was returning the engines to stock but not sure if he was keeping the boat or selling it once back together.

Pretty darn nice of him to take it back. Very curious as to why they would want to unwind the deal or whatever happened.

There's a little more to the story than that they just changed their mind.

I figured as much but Doc didn't volunteer the info and it really isn't any of our business......so I took it for what he typed.

those engines where all new ,a freind of mine bought his original 500s ,the blower motors where a smoken deal there wasnt mutch time on them. and they are the best of the best parts

What did he ever do with those?

I was supposed to buy them from Doc but couldnt get the cash together in time

we bought them then they sat for about 20 months we sold them again

He ripped me off too
