First thing I'd do is have someone inspect it for rot before I did anything. 90's boats are known for it.

Agreed on the rot! If it hasn't had repair work done than it will most likely need some.

Where else besides the transom and the stringers in the engine bay? You really think it's a given that the boat will need repair work? That would make me stay away from it.

do you have one in particular you are looking at? or just shopping 24OL's in general? 98 models made huge cuddy improvements!

There's one i'm going to look at on saturday. $15k for a 95 with 400 hours. You guys are starting to make me nervous about rot though....

What were the cuddy improvements that they made in 98?

take apunch to the wood see if it is soft ? if its hard you are all rigth if the boat was not cover rigth and got a lot of water in it then can be water log. all depends on the owner how he take care of he boat . like any thing check it real good. i love my boat the newer baja are a little better less wood in them but then you are paying more good luck

The speed will depend on what 454 you are talking about. The 330 should hit 56 and the Mag should hit about 60.

The consignment lot says it makes 300 horse power. Was that an option for the 454 in 95? As far as I know they were either 330 or 385 with the magnum. I don't know if you can tell from this picture, but here's the engine.

in 98 they switched to having two vinyl couches in the cuddy facing each other as opposed to the single cloth seat cushions to sit on...its basically the same as the 25OL have now, i believe in 98 they came with the tubular swim platform too (i think, im just going from memory)

I'm having trouble finding pictures of the entire cuddy. This one is a 94 and from what you can see through the door it looks like it has 2 seats facing each other.

Am I missing something?

ya my boat is trimedups old boat..well with my motor in it now..I do believe that the hull design is exactly the same as the new outlaw..and ya there is a difference with the windshield and dash..although I have seen 24 sports with the same dash as my buddys 92 outlaw..and my 88 240 sport..I put a tubular swim platform on mine..bought it for 400 bucks used off a wrecked 29 outlaw..fits perfect..

ok...I have a few..ummm Ill say hickups with this boat..

1.He says its a 500hp..not a 502 or 454..well a hp500 is a 502 block..they just call it a hp500 cause of the horsepower it makes, and it doesnt even make 500 horse..I think they made like 470 or something like that..and it doesnt cost 10,000 to make 500 horse..

2. He did spend alot of money at a sticker shop, cause that wasnt a factory baja sceme, that I know of, cause it has the old baja stickers on the wind screen.

3. Is it me or are those exhaust tips extreemly low mounted on the transom..and wheres the swim platfrom??

Didnt mean to come off like sounding like a dick..just my thoughts..sorry if I offended anyone..

It is a clean looking boat though..wish I had external steering..
