That being the case you actually don't want one. It's much easier to tell them it's not required and point to the code than be over what it states and then argue it doesn't matter. I found it funny that my wake board boat had a sticker in it that specified it's max weight in the boat was less than it would hold in factory ballast :) I never took the sticker out because it also said we were good to like 14 people so it wasn't a liability except for the odd time but if it has said max 8 people it would have been gone day one.

THANK YOU for all the replies.....I will be printing that code and keeping it with me!! It would only take one patrol man to make a day on the water difficult....thanks for the help and direction!!

I read up lastnight and came away with; no boats over 20' require that capacity notice and boats over 26' have the yacht certification plaque. SO looks like the 24OL falls right in the crack.

My 29 Outlaw had one. I took it out. It was ugly.
