Welcome to OSO.

Nice boat. Congrats.

What kind of drive and engine are you running?
Don't trim your bravo up that far while under way. You will trash your u-joint. It looks cool, but kills your drive.

Happy boating

Hello,

the boat is powered by a 7.4 MPI Mercruiser with a Bravo I outrive. Thanks for the Tip, that i don´t have to trim my bravo up.

Good boating.

Irishtornado 04-11-2011 11:42 AM

You should have to trim it up, but not to the point of throwing a rooster tail like you do. You will definately ruin your ujoints and outdrive doing that.

Also sounds like you are running your exhaust through the prop. Does this boat have the exhaust diverters on it? Captains Call?

Hello,

The exhaust is running through the prob. The exhaust tabs under the swim platform are dummies. Sorry, because my english is not so good.

Happy boating.

Engine

Hello,

If you want to see the engine and the exhaust dummies, click at my name in Youtube and look into my Cannel. There is a video called 'Baja 232' . In this video is our boat on the trailer and at the and of the video is the engine.

Happy boating.

Hey no problem, we get the point:ernaehrung004:

As was said. Do trim your drive out when running, you need to. Is this your first boat of thie type? If so, here is a few tips. Do you know where neutral position of the drive is on your trim gauge? Neutral trim is when your drive is trimmed so that the propshaft sits @ zero degree angle to the bottom. The drive will sit perpendicular to the bottom. I've tried to illustrate it here. Low line being the prop shaft and the top being the bottom/keel of the boat. __-----

When at WOT. Start at neutral trim. Then trim out in small increments untill you start to pick up speed. When it has stopped gaining speed, give it a tiny click or two more on the up switch. If no more speed is gained, you are at what is the "right" trim. This can change depending on how much fuel, passengers ect. you have on board. You will need to play around with it, and find the best trim settings for different speeds, loads and weather conditions.

Welcome
Was dir die Amis hier erklären wollen, das deine Baja niemals mit solch einer fontaine(rooster tail) hinten fährt!
Dein Boot ist absolut übertrimmt und du zerstörst deine Kreuzgelenke!!!

Have fun with your new Boat!

Baja232... 04-12-2011 10:09 AM

Thanks

Hello,

thanks at all for that useful information. You helped me very much. Now I have to stop doing a rooster tail, because I won´t buy every month a new Bravo.

Happy boating.

What ever happened to the guy w the 25 OL over in Germany?

jeffswav 04-12-2011 09:29 PM

Take the top down when doing high speed runs, that will slow you down.

Last I read on Offshore.de was that he was having to take a break from boating, and that he would be back when he could.

That was one hell of a nice 25. I had the opportunity to have Stephen take me out on the her.

Nice pics. How is the trimming coming along? Are you starting to get a hold of it?

FWIW. Jeffsway is right though. Even for a photoshoot, don't do it. It'll go KABOOM CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH... and make alot of other nasty sounds before you know it = $$$!!!

I only use the normal trim - not the trailer trim - tab with my fingers so long on the trim button till the engine gets to much air
I do the trim down. It's only for a few seconds...

Best regards

That does not matter, that is only determined by your limit switch.

Great videos! The LEDs look great. I'm in Southern Germany this week on vacation. Seems like great boating weather. I hope you are getting out on the water to take advantage of it.
Nice to see that performance boats are being run on your waterways.

Do you trailer it or keep it in the water at your marina?
