Default Help price a 252

I have a 1997 252 Islander (open bow), and I'm strongly considering moving up. In trying to value my boat, I can't seem to find many comparables, and many of them seem to be priced high.

Overall the boat is in great shape, and on a tandem axle steel trailer. <275 hours on the hull with very little dock rash. The guy before me did the motor work so I'm not sure of the particulars. 454 with head work, roller rockers, slight cam, victor intake, 750 holley. It's turning a labbed 23p mirage, and i can get a legitimate 62mph with 1/2 tank and 4 ppl in chop. The interior is original and in good shape, but does have a couple tears in the sun pad. The colors/graphics don't date it as they are red/purple, and the gel shines like new.

Any help on pricing would be appreciated, I have pics but can't upload them.

No offense but I personally do not consider dock rash and interior rips to be in "great shape". With your speeds im assuming its a 7.4 and not a 454 mag. Fresh water?? Without pics or knowing the boat I would say around $11- 12k. Assuming the trailer is in working order and the boat is polished to make it show its best. I would probably list it at 14900.

Maybe I'm just trying to be over critical. It has maybe a dozen nicks in the baja sticker on the side where a rubrail got into it. If you repaced the sticker it has no marks, gouges, or scratches in the gel. All of the interior is a 9/10 except for the sunpad where there are two pulls on the seam, maybe 3" each. I could even have that recovered before sale, and then there would be no marks/tears anywhere in the interior. As far as I know it's always been stored inside and used in freshwater. It is a 7.4.

The few that I've seen are priced north of $20k which I think is really extreme. I was thinking $16 would be good, but like I said i cant find anything to compare to.

Wasn't trying to be a dick or anything. Price it a little high and see what kind of action you get on it. I've had great luck selling my last three on ebay. If you list it high I wouldn't follow it right after with a major price drop. You'll only get people watching to see where your breaking point is.

If I remember correctly didn't you get this a couple years ago just south of 20?

Either you have the memory of an elephant, or you searched my prior posts, lol. Yeah, I picked it up for around 17 I think. I still feel as though it was a good deal at the time.

I didn't take your comments as you being a dick. I want honest feedback.

A somewhat comparison.
I sold my 98' 232 august 2010. It had very few scratches, only problem with it really.

It had new rear seat and gunwale vinyl. 30hr basically new 600hp carbed 509, 2007 bravo 1X drive, EMI trim tabs, pumps with mech. indicators, mech drive trim, sea strainer, Zeiger add on hydraulic steering. It was the Boss package, etc etc. 80mph boat, Sold for 21K maybe could have hel out for 22k, but i was happy with 21k
