I don't believe anyone hits the numbers they do because every time I am on the boat they are always a MPH or two slower.
Course, it could be because I am 6'3" 285 and always travel with a full cooler.

I have seen my boat hit/flash 68. on the gps. but it was only a flash and back to 66. (either a glitch, or a jump or something)
that was almost OUT of gas, with probably 4mph currnet and 2-3 fot chop.
it normally runs right at 60 with people, beer, and gas. 63 if light and the 23p prop on it, but i run a 22p 4 blade most the time, so 59-61 is the normal speed i can hit every day. and only broke the 63 mark on day. thae same day i almost ran out of gas, running it hard back to the marina on that choppy day with lot of current.
but those days you cant count. casue it for sure is not normal.

Hey there is always the pitot number. I was on a 17' Bayliner with a 3,0L that went "57". It had a 23" LaserII, 2,0 gear and topped out at 4500+ rpm. The owner still claimed to run 58. Anyone see a problem here
