Default Baja head unit upgrade question

For those who have upgraded there head unit from the stock double DIN Clarion to a smaller head unit, what mounting bracket / faceplate did you use to fill in the hole.

Boat is a Baja 272 with the stock Clarion XMD1 head unit mounted flush with the surface.

Thanks!

I actually did just the opposite, my boat had a single DIN head unit inside one of those flip down waterproof assemblies and I removed it to put in a double DIN clarion CDM4. I had to make a custom faceplate out of aluminium. I would think that you could do the same in reverse. Just use the radio to mark the cutout on the aluminium plate and make sure the plate is large enough to cover the hole in the dash. Mine was actually very easy to make and paint it to match the boat. Hope this helps.
