hello all,
I recently purchased a 03 275' w/ a 496.
I need to add a porta potti for the wife and daughter.
Anyone have any picks as to how to attach? and/or what brand or type I'm looking for? I know that some boats came from factory with these, but what were they using? am I better off picking my own out?
any pics or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Marc

your basic potty from walmart or wherever should work. they come with mounts. unless you want a pumpo out then you'll have plumbing to figure out. we watch the fullness and take it home from the marina to dump it every other week or so depending on use. dont let it overfill....not fun. wife wont be happy. surprised your boat didnt come with one, most cuddy cabins do unless someone took it out.

sorry cant remember my brand, but i think its a thetford, there one of the biggest manufactures out there, if not the leader, and made right here where i am in Ann Arbor. my buddy used to do CAD work for them.
dont get a super tall one if head space is a concern.

for all I know they did take it out. i'm third owner.....
I appreciate it!, I know there wasnt much room under there, that's why I was concerned with size and all. didnt know if there was anything special.

p.s. and this is very important...USE THE BLUE STUFF! and let it set for a couple weeks to be most effective. I found dumping the potty every week would make me gag. the longer the blue stuff sits the less the smell engages your gag reflex.....bleeeech.

You're not supposed to poop on a boat dude. That's just wrong and you shouldn't allow it! I put a bucket in my boat for the girls that don't want to get in the water. Haven't had to use it yet. Most girls would rather pee in the water than pee in a bucket especially when they know they have to dump it when they're done.

funny coindidence every time i see your board name i think about my buddy that worked at thetford, same name, no bull.
I got smart tho, I use my resperator when emptying it now.

yes the golden rule of the golden liquid is "number one only and ladies only."
