You won't find a genset in an Outlaw. Need to look to the performance series (342 38 Special). 342 is much easier to move around than the 38. 38 is a much bigger boat, taller and wider on top of 4' longer.
Be happy to answer any questions you may have in your search.

I did make it an option on the 35 Outlaw! Still my favorite model.....

I'll make you a deal on a 29 Outlaw. The cabin works great!

I think I pretty much have my mind made up, I am liking the 342 with the icemaker in the cockpit and the smaller bilge. Is it 2001 they made the bilge smaller? Would like to find one with 496 HOs but 496 mags would be fine too. I am wanting to go take a ride on one first tho, anyone in the Oklahoma area on here?

That looks clean. I like the redone cabin, but I'd have to ask why? I don't see someone going through all that expense just to change the color. I'm betting there was damage at some point. Who knows maybe whoever did it had money to burn????

The 500s usually need top ends redone by 300 hours or so.

Tim how could I find out any history on the boat. Guy says he got it at an auction, believes it had been stored on Lake Travis in Texas. Is there any way to find out who all owners were? or where is has been serviced?

Not to my knowledge. There are some smarter people than me running around here though:)

I would spend a few hundred on a survey. Especially on a boat like a 342 with so many different systems to maintain, water, waste, galley, genset, AC, shore power....you get the point.

I have thought about it a few times lol.....nah I want more room as well. I am 6'3 so getting down in the cabin of my fountain is pretty entertaining for everybody, and the cockpit is cramped if I have more than 4 people on the boat including me and the ol lady. I too would like to have a/c on the boat especially after the summer we have had here in OK. I appreciate all the info, keep it coming. Haven't the 500s been known for some problems after couple hundred hours?

:drink: I hear ya. Plus - Ol' lady happy = you happy! Good luck on the hunt.
