I was at Bullet Engines a couple years ago and they where rigging a single 29 Outlaw, not sure what year, but it was "newer" it was really killer looking and probably very fast, but, it had CONSIDERABLY more HP than a stock "black" motor.

For the type of boating we do it's fine but if you have a bug for speed, forget it. good milage though and it is roomy.

if you want speed just add a gellner 800 to 1000hp motor and a konrad ace xfactor kit set at 17 1/2'' x= propshaft height of 3 or 3 1/2''. and it should run fast 85 to 90.

I don't see anyone after speed being interested in this style of boat. It is what it is. A nice afternoon ride and handles rough water very well.
One other upside is that with out the extra weight of a second engine, the boat rides at a very nice attitude with no porpoise.
