I see it sold. Still looking. Have seen a few 97s but they dont have the leather V-birth down below. Really would like a 2000. Also, haven't seen any 29s with twin 502s. Was this a Big$$ option?

Not 40 K but not that far off - HP 500's and newer 2001 29 Outlaw.

I've got a 99 29 Outlaw that needs a new home. It is in Texas, which is as far North as I think America really needs to extend, but.....
It is also priced $15k higher than what you want to spend, however, I still like to let folks know it's for sale. BTW, did I mention it is pretty quick? 15K more? Would that include the whipples? Any luck finding a plane? Michael |

The Baja dealers just learned real quick that the 385's ran just as strong as 502's. 500 HP's are kind of a waste in a 29ol IMO.

XT, in your opinion are the 29s worth buying or should I keep my boat for another year and wait and see if a 33 comes along? My boat is sold whenever I decide to sell it. The guy will wait for it. I just dont want to jump into a 29 if they have some inherant flaws which create issues for running over 70mph. I assume shorties would fix the transom height issues?
Jason is the man to talk to about speed gains on a 29, but even he admits it is sometimes just better to enjoy the boat rather than chasing MPH. A 29ol will run all day long at 70+ with 385 Mags and that's all you really need in that boat IMO. Oh, and I forgot to mention the maintainance difference. XT |

The 29 is a great boat to own. I bought a 00' brand new in 99' and had it till 2007 and loved it. It had stock 7.4's that (never-ever) took out a drive, and was turn key as can be. Entered it in many high powered poker runs like "Poker Runs America" and would just wave at the 1m dollar boats as we went past after they broke down.
