Make sure when you are comparing prices that you are comparing kits that come with all the necessary parts.

I would try to stretch and get a FULL system. Full to the helm makes a huge difference.

I second what he says, I converted my 272 to twin ram external at first and it was still a real handful to drive, I then when full to the helm and it is rock solid even in the 90 mph range, I would highly recommend going all the way, Smitty
There was a guy asking about this in Tech and they mentioned a guy from Wis that sells this stuff for 1/2 of everyone else, Smitty

I have a extra full set up to the helm . my saber came with the helm and it looks good. so I might be selling a single ram full set up. and I have a used add on . taking stuff off my baja to pay for my saber stuff and will end up selling my 24ol stripped with trailer, can't see selling a boat for 10 gs with a 650hp motor/280k planes /steering/hd gimbal and so on. so if anyone is looking for parts bolsters too. pm me.

No problems. Easy to remove to pull and service drives. I do agree with others here that if you can swing full to the helm, do it.
