You can order the oil drain hose kits from Mercury. Www.bammarine.com
But the stringer set up of the Baja by Fountain prevent you from being able to get the hose out of the transom. I am guessing the Baja by Fountain Islander is also a stringer hull.

If they connected the hose the only way to use it would be to drill another drain plug up from the keel.

Thanks for the heads up, I will keep shopping around for one then.

Other members have drilled a couple extra drain plugs a couple inches up, that they only use for when they change the oil. There are pictures of such on here.

Used my 'new' pump this weekend. Sucked the oil out thru the oil pan drain plug hoses so fast it colapsed the valve covers. No sippy straw pump here.

my islander does have the stringers in it. There is barely enough room to see the bilge pumps under the engine let alone get a hand under there. I am going to have to pump it out through the dipstick. I ordered one of those pumps should be in soon. I called merury direct and the guy I talked to said they recommend synthetic now no matter how many hours are on the boat. Like the earlier post he said 20w-40 is in mercury brand is what they reccommend.
but he said off the record that any quality 20w-40 would work amsoil, mobil one, royal purple, ect. He said they reccomend there brand so that no one uses below grade oil.
