Thanks for the response Jason, I had wondered what it would do spinning in, just never tried it. Mine runs really good with the 3 blade 23 mirage plus props that are on it, but I really think the boat would be better all around with bravo 1 props on it.

I do think overall out is more boatable for the average joe. Everything is a compromise. :cool-smiley-011: |
I tested mine ( run it out, switch props, run it again in ) when I first got it and it ran a little over 1 mph faster.....it also
didnt blow out as much when rolling over when coming on to plane, and it didnt seem to porpose as much, so I kept them "in", so there were other reasons than simply top end.... plus they just look "wrong" in that configuration;) I've found out that if you trim the drives up slightly, the docking handling is much better...not as good as out, but better than having the drives trimmed fully in. One thing about it, having dealing with docking this thing for going on 6 years now, you do aquire a few new skills ( reading winds, currents, knowing how the boats going to react) .....I'm pretty confident I can back a Nimitz class carrier into a slip if I had to:D:rolleyes: "In" isn't for everyone, and doesnt work on all boats, ( it does on these though) the only way you'll know is to try it and see for yourself. |
Round 2 with this.
Was this ever settled or just user preference and not much speed gains? |
