33 Outlaw turn "in" or "out"

Mine is turning "out" right now, what do you guys prefer?
Also has anyone tried a Rev4.. seems a lot of my boat is in the water, wondering if some rear lift would make a difference.

In to win.

People do say in is faster but I prefer out. Not really because the docking (even though its! Better) but the overall feel of the boat just handles and drives better. Plus I do not see any speed increase. The claim of 1 to 2 mph is not worth it.

Todays prop technology is so good you can have your cake and eat it to!

T2x has a very convincing post on here about spinning out...why it's safer, better, and scientificly the way a boat was designed to run. (Smart phone spelling no emery to correct!)

As a general rule, in is faster. But each boat reacts differently, so change the props and go out and see how you like it. And remember, since you changed props, the shifters will be opposite until you change them around if you decide to keep them in.

I am going to change mine and see what happens. You get more bow lift with them in, which is what our boats need for speed. I run 5 blades so I don't think docking will suffer that much. Also try to remove as much weight as possible from the bow area. I removed all of the cushions etc. since we never overnite anyways.

Jason, did you spin your props in on your 29 before you put the boxes on it??? If so, How did the boat attitude change?

Thanx guys for the info, if its only a 1-2mph change its not worth it to me.

I did both. The boat felt 10' taller with them spinning in. It would walk a little more spinning in also.
I think this year I will try to spin them out again. It is more friendly and does provide a more stable feel. I find it less of a challenge to drive spinning out & that isn't all that fun for me.
I do think overall out is more boatable for the average joe.
Everything is a compromise. I prefer 5 blade propellers for vacation boating. I get a better cruise speed but suffer on the top end. When I wanted to go fast I ran my 4 blades.

Bravo 1's will be a better choice for propellers. The rev4 is not what you want.
JT runs Maximus wheels I think. He has extension boxes & a high x dimension.
His 33 is dialed-in! I think it has ran a best of 93-94mph.
Pay attention to drive alignment (toe in, toe out). Your greatest gains will be in the details, not the bolt-ons.

Thanks for the response Jason, I had wondered what it would do spinning in, just never tried it. Mine runs really good with the 3 blade 23 mirage plus props that are on it, but I really think the boat would be better all around with bravo 1 props on it.
