Default Thinking of Defecting (back)

Ok guys,

Here's the deal. I've had 2 Baja's in the past, a 1999 Hammer and a 2000 25 Outlaw. My current boat is a 2001 260 Sonic. My Sonic need a quick repair and my old (Baja) dealer did the work. Naturally, they want me back in an Outlaw. While I was having the work done, I took out a 99 33' Outlaw with HP500 (carbs, my choice of power), and was very impressed. Price is right, trade-in is not, but better than expected. How the hell can this boat stay on plane at 2 grand?

Comments on the 33 with this package? I think I know which way I'm leaning (can you say avitar change?).

Any comments on the 33 are appreciated. I've attached a pic.

Hey Sonic,

Do you know a guy named Russ up there on Winni with a 24' red Velocity? I met him in Cape Cod at the races and wanted to say thank you for letting me follow him out to the course since I had no idea where I was going. I lost track of him at the race and never got his number. He wasn't at the marina when I went back...

Not sure what marina he is in. I just met him in the Cape at Hyannis Marina which is where I was staying for the races. If you see him on the lake tell him Ted says hi.

Man, you guys are killin' me!
I need to upgrade too!!! NOT!...It'll be a while.

Anyway,
Sonicdude, you can't go wrong with the 33, especially with 500 power. It's an incredible ride(as you found out) and is an all around great boat, perfect size for comfort and trailerable convenience. If you like it, and the deal is good GO FOR IT!

unstable,

Except for a trip back from Channel after the repair, we stayed in last weekend. Was out most of Friday though. Hey, maybe if I trade in my Sonic for the 33, you can pick it up

Its a 2001 with a 496HO. She's sweet looking. There are some posts in the members ride section. Great boat, just looking for something a bit bigger.

SOnic, I have a friend in the market for a bouat your size if you are going to sell the 26. You could come out ahead this way rather than trading it in. Post the info on it as specific as you can and I will let him know to look at the post. Personally I love a 33 Outlaw you can't beat the looks and room. Sure a Fountain may be faster but overall it is the way to go. Thanks for the info!!!
