Default 2nd battery?

I just ordered a couple 1000amp interstate marine batteries for my 496ho 247. only ran one battery last year but thought it was a good idea to put duels in. Anyone have a preference on what battery swith to buy and any install tips would be great. Thanks

Any 1-2-both switch will work for a basic operation. BUT...

Do yourself a favor and install a battery combiner to keep the 2nd battery charged, for use separate from your start battery. Blue Seas sells a Combiner/Switch package for just this application. Never have to mess with turning switches from battery to battery. Very easy to install.
