Default Procharger in 24 outlaw.

I'm looking at diagrams for pro chargers on Carb'd 502's and it looks like you lose power steering? Am I incorrect? Also will a pro charger setup go on a 24 outlaw without any cutting or modifying of the seat?

i bought 1997 24ft outlaw sst with a 502 procharged, i just had my mechanic put full hydraulic steering on it. Also the back of the bench seat had to be notched out to fit the m1 procharger. With that set up, you need full hydraulic steering or the back end will move aroud on you.

If you have anymore questions i can try to help, shoot me an email [email protected]
I have been learning as i go

Thanks for the quick reply. Did you have the factory power steering before you put on the full hydraulic? I also have a 97 24 sst. Is there anyway you could take a picture of the seat/clearance with the blower, and the pulley setup? It would be VERY helpful.

They give you different brackets that change the location of the pump.

i have a weiand 177 blower in my boat. carb sits on top of it, back seat had to be notched and moved forward for it, but didn't have to mover anything with the power steering pump. might be an easier package depending what you wanna do. Personally id prefer the roots style blower to the procharged/blow thru set up.

When I bought it, It had factory steering and a "side winder arm". It was a non functional hydraulic assist arm. Here is my email address [email protected]. Send me an email and I will send you pictures..
You can call me at 716-366-0922, and I will explain it to you

The wall on the bench seat had to have a square cut out of it. The top of the cut is right below the back seat pad and is cut down a few inches beloe the bench part of the cushion. The bench cushion has a 3 to 4 inch piece of foam removed from it. The owner removed alittle to much, So i am going to have it filled alittle and stitched back up, They left the hole but never closed it back up.

Give me a call or shoot me an email
