I understand other people’s budgets might be different but mine is in stone. After being laid off one time for 9 months I will never allow myself to feel that sick feeling having a loan out there that I can’t manage so this is why I am good with an older boat in the price range that I have asked.

I know for a fact that there are plenty of 20+ year old Formulas and others brands out there in that year/price range that are very clean quality boats, so are you guys telling me that a Baja falls apart in that amount of time?

Sorry for my rant but im sick of people telling me and others on here that they have nothing unless they spend more.

No Offense Panchanga, but, I am looking to upgrade myself, would LOVE a nice Outerlimits on a trailer, but, my 40K budget isn't likely to find me one, but, that ISN'T the "Outerlimits guys" fault....

This thread makes me laugh. I still don't understand why I can't sell my 36ft Sonic for $20k??
It does NOT need a pile of work. I just put 502 MPI motors in it last year...turn key and go!

I had a 1989 Baja 280, and its no comparison to the Sonic I have now. Poor build quality/ lay-up etc. and a REAL PITA to work on the motors!
I sold that boat for 12k last year...good riddance!

The crack about Baja not lasting 20 years was just a smart arss remark because I have nothing agents the brand and I get what you are saying about there not being any of this brand for the budget that I have. So be it!

The reason that I got pissy is because I didn’t ask for a 30g boat, I had asked for one around 20.

It would be the same as me telling you to take your 40g and put that down on your Outerlimits and finance 20g. What if you were already financing 20g?

If you cannot answer the question that was asked within the parameters then don’t answer!

Well, last time I checked this was "Baja forum" NOT a Boat Trader, so, go buy one and see what you can find!

As for not answering "within" your parameters, well first of all it's a public forum, if you don't like the answers you get feel free to leave

As far as I can see you posted a question looking for a boat that you couldn't afford, then got pissy because no one found you one in 5 mins.

Why don't you go find the boat you want, then contact the owner and tell him why you should be able to buy it for 20K

Or just take your baby tantrums somewhere else, either way I am good with it.

If the Baja was such a piece of crap and the Sonic is so superior why are you selling it? Why not finish the "little work" it needs and use it, or sell it complete? just sayin"

One thing you can always count on is a baja outlaw owner being a real dick.

Both of those are good looking boats. I wish I was in a position to sell mine and go after the one that has the blue/black stripes.
