Default New to game... Have ?'s

I'm getting out of performance cars, and into performance boats. I live in southeastern MI (Detriot area) and i'm doing a little research to try and decide what to buy. Considering prehaps a baja outlaw or boss 29'-33'. Maybe between a 1997-2001 (that's about what my budget will permit). Boat will be a rack and launch on lake Erie. Just wondering the +/- about these two models and their differences. Also if there were any changes in between the model years stated. Also looked at 312 Formula fastechs and fountain fevers. Any and all inputs opinions would be greatly appreciated. Also, I have 1 more car left to sell if anyone is interested or knows anyone that may be. Here is a link to the f/s add : http://forums.corral.net/forums/must...l#post11066082 Thanks!

Just depends what kind of boating you do. If you need room in the cock pit and more cabin amenities go with the 302, 342. The 33 ol has a huge cockpit also. I like the look of the outlaw 29 but like the space in the 302, 342, and 33. If you want to go fast then go fountain but you lose cock pit space and you have a beak . Can't go wrong with the formula either great built boats, I'm just not a fan of a lot of the graphics especially all the 90's pink and turquoise! Just don't settle for something just to be on the water, because you won't be happy long.

Well starting with the fact you want to be in Erie, you are gonna want the biggest boat you can get. But if you have never had a boat before, starting with a 33 foot boat is gonna be a big learning curve.

Between Baja and Fountain, yes the fountain will be faster, but alot smaller. If you were to compare them length wise you would need to go with at least a 35 Fountain to compare with a 33OL, and the OL will still be a bigger boat. Much bigger cockpit, cabin, and free board.

Formula makes a nice boat. I would just be suprised if you could find one in good shape, that will be the same size, anywhere near the price of a Baja.

This looks like a real nice boat though.

The cabin and cockpits are HUGE in them for a 32, I loved the space I had in my 320... 7 people and you can still move around!
