OK, I think that's a slight exageration. I never actually measured mine but I'm pretty sure at the helm it's about 7'. So what? People also comment on the weight, so what?

Aren't most sports cars are small and light?

FACT: The 30' Superboat has been very competitive in racing for decades.

Ok here's the way to look at that argument... Light race boat fine... Built strong but light... Not good for pleasure use with no cabin and frills....

My example....

Clifford ... 41 saber built with a now full of bullheads and a very minimal cabin solid as a fukkin rock in big water....

The chief... 41 apache full cabin also built like a tank....

Been in both on Lake Erie.... Both ride Amazing and fast for what they are... But I can tell you one thing the heavier boat landed much softer and rode heavier...

Weight is better for personal use every weekend in rougher water... Period ... It's really about what you use the boat for... If you want all out speed buy a cat...

^ assuming that everyone has the same wants and needs out of their boats this makes sense but I have to assume that we all different priorities and expectations out of boats.

Maybe you should run him with your Checkmate? I dont recall him wanting to "run the world"? Seems to me he avoiding the challenge from the fella with the big powered Outerlimits.

Maybe you could post his/your challenge in one of the "General" categories and get more responses?

If this fella is me, I'm in for the spring hop. Supre, just name the starting point and I'll be there. I'd even spot you a standing start, you'll surely be on plane way before me. You mind if we bring a few OL's? All in fun of course. I'd hate to get accused of picking on the new guy with the little boat.
