It's cool man. I agree with you on Supres' intentions. I made a point because quite a few of the posters defending the Baja brand don't own one. I myself have never really paid attention to what forum I am browsing. 99% of the brands use the same power, drives and accessories. I have owned a handful of different brands and if I haven't owned one there is a good chance I have had a friend with one or worked on one in some capacity. I wasn't trying to call you out. Just defending why non owners browse other brands forums. |

i realize that, but if we are all talking baja what interest would it be to a scarab or fountain or cigarete ect, I really don't surf to other forums, i don't have a need or desire, when i ask questions to helpo me on my boat i don't go to the donzi forum, just like if i own a ford , i don't take it to a chevy dealer. just for example, but that is just me and i shouldn't question why other boaters are in our forum, it just seemed with this whole conversation that he ment to stir up this kind of discussion, why else was he here , it is a no brainer if you ask me, after all the threads going back and forth, i thought i was in high school again with fratenities, or sports team rivals on home coming, that is all, it was an observation, i shouild of just kept to my self, but the conversation was going no where except into a bar room cage match mma style
I browse pretty much all the forums, I am a fan of offshore boats regardless of size or name. I owned a Baja before we had the Donzi, between my cousin and I we have owned a 272,3-302's,33outlaw,36outlaw,and a 40 outlaw. Also as stated most boats have the same power and drives so if your having a problem it's good knowledge. When "supre" posted this it shows up on newest discussions on the home page, click on it automatically directs u to this forum. By the way I don't think your being an ass, I just think if u like boating u are missing a lot by staying in your own boats forum. |

Man, I been busy and haven't been on here in a while. Let me get this right, a guy who has a 25 check is THINKING about buying a 32 superboat or has recently bought one but never driven it, powered by a 575 and wants to challenge everyone to a race? Now, we are supposed to come down to him to race also, load that BIOTCH up and come up to US and race, bring the 25 check or the 575 superboat and we'll run them 10 miles down the river, I will bring my 272 baja and we can line up, I have only seen these superboats in pictures, most the "baja killers" I have ever raced didn't live up the claims, quite a few of them can't even keep up with my blower belt OFF, Smitty

Last year she was on vacation, and I took a couple of younger guys out that had never been on big water. It was thowing 4 - 5' on Lake Michigan with a 8+ every now and then. Wish I would have had someone running with me as I was airing it out. I think we were out of the water more than in it. Stopped and hung out behind the pier later and a guy in another Baja comes over and says everyone was watching us. Said he should have taken pictures as he could not belive how much air we were getting. I did end up knocking the panel in front of the passanger bolster out, nothing a few screws would not fix...lol |
My video ionb my 320 was good water... that was a fun ride...

i will prolly get grilled for this....but....i think you guys are under-estimating the superboat hull, they are badass in the rough!! i race class 5 with a couple of them, when the water is big you better hope your ahead of them or keep inside position otherwise there gone! by far one of the best single engine vee hulls i've seen.
now with that being said, i'm guessing supre-douche doesnt have the driving skills, knowledge, or balls to run one like my fellow class 5 competition. i guess what i'm saying is, in the right hands a 750hp y2k will run with a twin engine boat with stock power in the ozarks...start talking outerlimits, big power, lake erie, etc...y2k wont cut it, but i think we agree thats common sense.:daz: |
