So i picked up a 25 OL last summer and put about 30 hours on it, no issues so i was happy. My work schedule this year is pretty much going to eliminate our already short boating season up here. Contemplating on just selling the boat this spring rather than making payments on it all year and not being able to use it. I have a guy lined up this spring to repaint it because the boat is a 98 and obviously the graphics are dated. Also the interior has no tears but it has pink (which i can't stand) and planned on having redone just to eliminate the pink. My question is; is it worth paying to have it repainted and reupholstered before i sell it, or will the graphics update and upholstery not really affect the resale price?

It depends on the condition of the boat, the motor, hours, etc. But a good condition 25 OL should be able to sell for 20k I would think. I sold my 98 25 OL for 25k 2 yrs ago. Pretty much stock but in really good shape about 350 hrs on it.

I think i will just list it for a few weeks before i update anything and see if it sells? Hopefully the fact that it has a blue motor and hydraulic steering helps it sell. Who knows after i update everything i might not want to sell, but i do want twins and a stepped hull....

Damn....I would have loved to have bought a decently clean 25 OL in the mid to high teens...that I could have put a few grand in and made it MINE....
I just bought a very nice very clean 2000 25OL fora bit less than $25K and am happy with the deal I made, but not like I would have been to spend high teens...lol

i dont think i have ever seen a 25ol sell for less than 20k. i just saw a nice one with no power and they were asking 20k firm. with the blue motor and steering i would think that you could ask quite a bit more than a average 25ol
