nailit,
Not to hijack but how did you like you 25? Was it enough boat for Pontchartrain and Maurepas? I'm not sure if I should get a 25 for my first performance boat or try to step strait into a 29-30 twin engine boat. I will be boating the same water ways 25 is big enough, if you can afford a 30 with twins go for it. my motivation is b/c I have small kids (4 &7) and everything is rough for them so having a few extra feet, we could go out in most conditions rather than watching wind conditions so much! If it weren't for the kids, I would just put a blower or 540 in it to pick up a few extra mph!! We also go to ship island several times a summer and wanted the extra cockpit space and saftey of a 2nd engine b/c we often bring another family and they ride with us.. no other boats... |

It did very well.. Pontchartrain can get pretty nasty for even big 30+ fts.

I dont think parking a 30 footer or a 33 is much different. in reallity, that 3 feet is not life changing on the trailer.
just the poket book I am looking at a 29 in OK with with 475 hours on meters. He is going to do a compression test and try to find a scan tool this weekend to see how well they have been maintained. He claims it doesnt burn any oil, Cockpit vinyl in bench seat back will have to be replaced and may as well do all of it so he is lowering price and it already has an alum trailer which a steel would have to be replaced down here w/in 2 years.. Other than that it has everything I want! 29-30k for a 99 w 454 mags with all options... Opinions on those hours?? |
