There is nothing wrong with the straight weight oils for the the amount of time most boats are used.

MerCruiser recommends.

I like using Amsoil Synthetic Racing 15W50, been using for years, it does cost a little more.

Thanks for all the replies. Took her out last night for an hour or so and what a sweet ride compared to my 17 foot bowrider.
Thanks for heads up on the oil use. I will keep an eye on her.
