I can tell you you will have to spend some money to get it in the 70s...here is what I did I have a 23 outlaw with a raylar Bck 103 kit...less the heads ..wanted to keep as turn key as possible...did all the valve springs ..roller rocker arms...cam...PCM tune (run 93+ octane) incresed fuel pressure ..new fuel regulater...thined out my spark arrester...Dana headers and a **** ton of work on a prop to get the speed to the water..add all that up ur looking at close to 4k with out labor cuz I did most of it myself...boat runs 74 gps stock was 67 ...alot of money for 7mph...I learned my lesson if u want a faster boat buy a faster boat otherwise u will spend thousands for minimal gains and you will always want to go faster!!

I ran my boat with a GPS. It touched 66MPH a few times for just a brief second and stayed consistantly at 65.6MPH. Has anyone had any luck with changing the prop out and still being able to get the boat on top of the water. I have heard different opionions for people.

A labbed prop wll be your cheapest option. If you lab the 23p you may run into the rev limiter. I ran a 24P four blade labbed on my 25OL when it was stock. Labbed 4 blade showed essentially the same top end as the three blade but midrange was much better and it holds ALOT better in turns.

And like others have pointed out it will take some considerable money to go fast and NOT ALL ENGINE BUILDERS/TUNERS ARE CREATED EQUAL so be aware and very cautious.
