Default Radio upgrade advice

I am looking for some advice on a radio upgrade for my H2x not looking for anything crazy just a good full sound and the ability to hear the system while cruising. Also would like some advice on shops that could install in Cincinnati. Any idea on what I should budget for it?

Thanks

Larry

Call Xtreme Sound, down on Queen City Ave. I bought all my JL equipment off them when I did my 302 last winter. Great prices and great guys. I did the installation myself, but they have some good guys that can do yours. They also have a shop on Beechmont Ave.

well if your planning on using an ipod most of the time-the fusion marine stereo is the way to go, they offer many different models (and prices) to choose from depending on what your trying to do. and user friendly! check out their web site and watch some videos on their products. ebay also has some of the best prices. also while jl audio is top of the line, for the price rockford fosgate marine series is also a good buy. check out and compare prices at
sonic electronics
ebay
star marine depot

If you are wanting a good sound stereo that you can hear while running, you need to make sure you get an amp to power the speakers correctly. You can have the best speakers in the world but if you don't have an amp to power them correctly, they will sound like garbage turned up. Rockford Fosgate and Memphis Audio are great. I have JL audio in my boat. Search on google and ebay for the best prices. Doing the install is not that hard at all, running the wires is the worst part and just takes time but is easy to do. For crisp sound, powering the speakers is key.
