My post did have the conditions, that other than the fading, and with trailer, was sound mechanically, interior, etc.
They are going for that price, and of course have higher residual than the twins these days. I'd also say there's a good chance it's not 310 hp.... I don't think too many were built that way.

my 1998 272 had a 310 in it

Oh, I know they built them.... But I think they're rare compared to the Mags, based on everything I've ever seen for sale.

I would sell my boat for 22k in a second with only 60 hrs on a well built 572 with an Hp transom assembly, xr sporty drive and imco hydraulic steering. With about 670 hrs on the hull

Nada says 16000-19000 after deducting 3100 for fact it has undesirable power fwiw, http://www.nadaguides.com/Boats/1999...0015635/Values |
that 310hp is going to hurt the price even though you can still use that long block to get to 450ish hp and get that boat into the low to mid 60s. I used that long block for the base in my 89 sport 250 (27 foot 64 gps)which is the older version of the 272 hull. it seems like 27ish foot single engines are maintaining if not gaining value, I have been watching the prices on the sport 250/270 since the day I bought mine and they have done nothing but go up in price. this size of boat is large for a single, can still get good top speeds and can be pulled behind a half ton truck so the cost of ownership is reasonable compared to a twin. just my personal opinion. I say that boat would be a 18-22k boat if it has no major interior or mechanical issues. zeke, I think you are underestimating what you could get for that boat, I see pics of it online and I always love the yellow and the arch on it, with the power you have I think you would be a bit higher. then again I love yellow boats, that's what my 250 is and I don't think I want any color besides yellow ever again lol. but again that's me, yellow is a selling point :).
