Will do. Yep, easy wiring run over to the amp under the rear bench.
I already use the grab handle above the boarding ladder for my marine BBQ mount.... lol

Hook'em, that may be a great idea! Instead of using the grab handles on the bolsters what about using the grab handle above the boarding ladder? A simple clamp on rail mount could be used similar to these (but sized correctly). No holes (but visible wires).

Puzzleboy, your may be onto something there as the wires would just drop down between the coaming and the hatch. Post a picture of your prototype or mock up if you work on it tonight.

Made one bracket tonight out of .050 or .063 stainless steel I had laying around. Check out the pics, see what you think. It picks up on 3 of the hatch hinge bolts (which are extra long anyway), so it's very simple. The speakers go up and down with the hatch as necessary, with no clearance issues.
I think if I shorten and polish the bracket to a mirror finish, it won't look too bad at all.... thoughts? I like it because it doesn't intrude into the sunpad area, the speaker wire can easily go down under the hatch area, and I can install the speakers and brackets in about 5 minutes. And most importantly, the speakers can't fall into the water...
