Default Help Please!

So I just recently tore the hull and totalled my 97 Baja Hammer been going through major withdraws. Need opinion found a 2000 Hammer guy took the 454 mag efi motor stroked it to a 505. My concerns are he had to bore it .100 then stroked kept the efi but did not reprogram the computer or ecu. Says its been in 4 seasons now runs reliable no problems. Wouldn't it be running off with no new program i.e lean. Should I look into this or stay away please I want some honest outside opinions mine is clouded being boatless.

Ok, now I am really at a loss no one even has a opinion on this. 100 plus people view this but I get no replies. This puts me back, guess I am going to call a couple machine shops/engine builders see what they say.

Do you have access to your old boat? If so then pull the engine and keep as a spare. Then buy the new boat. .100 over bored for a stock BBC will leave your walls pretty thin.

Some ho blocks were thick enough to go that far. But would not believe a 505 runs perfectly fine with stock programming. Calling bs on that one.
