Selling my H2X
Not sure if I'm allowed to post this here without paying OSO, guess I'll find out...
I gotta sell my H2X before the season ends. It runs and looks like new. I'm asking $37,900 but I'm open to all offers. Here's a link to the ad. Dan http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/8/8/31020988.htm |
What do you guys think is a fair price assuming the boat is mint? I was told anything over 34k was a good deal, but comparable H2Xs go for closer to 39k.
|
Depends how fast you want to sell. Same as my thinking until I bought the new boat, now I'm at 34K and am certainly looking to move it quick at that price. You have to pre-qualify to get rid of the hull-kickers and other assorted nood-nicks. I had a guy call yesterday who was a "serious pontoon boat buyer". I politely told him this was the other end of the spectrum. My web site for the boat has done a good job of spurring interest and reducing showing it to people who have no idea what "one of dem dar barhars iz".

the market might be a little slow, I have thought about stepping up to a bigger boat, but I will most likely wait a little while, i have a 2000 h2x bought new in 2001, with a 454mag, nice boat and trailer with mag wheels, its not for sale but if someone gave me 35000.00 it would be there boat:D

I found a killer deal on my "new" 302, I had to take the chance. Someone will certainly luck out with my "old" boat. It kills me to sell it for that after all the dough I put into it last year. Just the cost of moving up.

Down to $34,900 hopefully this attracts a buyer.
|
sounds like a good price DJM, I talked to the Baja dealer a little while back to see what trade in was on my boat, talk about hurt, give nothing and sell high is there goal, wish you luck

Price lowered to 33,500. Had her out last weekend, runs perfect.

You know djm, there is a flip side to this. You have to drop your price because the market sucks for selling. On the other hand, the boat you buy will/should have gone through the same slide. My take on it is if you drop 5% and the boat you're buying drops 5%, you're ahead! :D
Now, I'm in the same position. Selling my 24 Outlaw for a 29 or 32. I've been dropping my price 50 cents on the dollar they've dropped. In other words when I see a reduction in the range of $3K on that size boat, I drop about $1500. Make any sense??? Good luck, Bruce... |
